Paladin's are easy for experienced players, and very difficult for newbies. Their slow spell
casting rate makes it difficult to vig fast enough to recover full hps if you don't have good
armor to stop hits. They also pledge to the militia at level 7 and are easy prey at that point
for any thieves and assassins of a higher level than they.
Their skills are the same as a clerics: turn and pray. They can also cast special spells that
clerics can: remove-disease, heal and remove-blindness (if it was in the game, that is.)
Turn is especially useful for paladins, since they benefit from being extra good (they receive
an attack bonus) fighting undead creatures for a long period of time is no problem for a paladin.
Pray raises piety temporary by 5 points.
str: 18 dex: 3 con: 3 int: 12 pie: 18 |
Pros:
These are the most popular stats for paladins, usually people choose to be an Elf to
get the extra two points of intelligence. While this is good for pkill, it really doesn't
do much for casting against monsters since extra intel for stunning doesn't make up for
the slow cast rate.
|
Cons:
Low con means you will tick for less. Low dex means you can't achieve quite as good ac.
