Read Stilgar's POV on thieves.
Thieves are a fairly difficult class to play. They suffer from low hps and skills which don't help
much in the quest to gain experience. They share the backstabbing skill with assassins but the way
the damage is calculated is slightly different. Assassins backstab for 3 times the amount they would've
hit for. Thieves backstab for 2.5 to 3.5 times the amount they would've hit for; resulting ultimately
in higher "possible" backstabs.
They can also sneak, which is a bonus if you don't want to alert your prey to the possibility they'll
be soon losing some equipment. Peek is also quite useful. The code has now been changed where you cannot
peek or steal from someone of a certain level above you. This is due to people abusing the skill and
making level one thieves to check if a perm had juicy items without having to go through the difficulty
of actually killing it to find out.
The final skill that the thief has is picklocks, this is a skill which is occasionally necessary to
reach certain areas of Isengard and provided you can trust him/her a thief is a useful addition to an
exploration party.

Pros:
These are the most popular stats for thieves. Like assassins and rangers,
I suggest you choose to be a race with nightvision.
|
Cons:
Low con means you will tick for few hps, and low piety means it will take you a really long time to tick.

I just thought it might be interesting for people to find out what each specific class' hps/mps are at each level.
